Preparation for one's own demise is a responsibility: one wishes to leave as few messes behind for others to deal with as possible, so one needs to organize, resolve, make maps of the territory, material and immaterial. My work with 'Finding Aids' for my collections is just that sort of thing, and things I have valued ought to go to, or have their value realized by, people who would value them as I have done.

But it's also necessary to listen to Deborah on this subject: "Nobody gives a Rat's Ass about your stuff."
