Digerati

In some respects an uncomfortable meme, freighted with an undertone of sneerage. It can be used constructively, as in this advertisement from University of Minnesota:
Digerati “evangelize, connect people, adapt quickly. They like to talk with their peers because it forces them to go to the top of their form and explain their most interesting new ideas. They give each other permission to be great. They want to talk to each other about the things they are excited about because they want to see if it plays. They ask each other the questions they are asking themselves.”

You know who you are. There are some of you in every department and school on campus. You’re the ones who are using new digital tools and techniques to do old things in new ways, and new things in ways no one has imagined. We’d like to help you find each other, see what each other is doing, and make connections that will lead to, well, who knows what!
