Not sure how to help you out, since I don't know which of the various tacks you're taking on the subject. There are certainly lots of Web sites with bits of information, but just how Guide-worthy they are I'm not sure. Take a look at MAFF site, and www.sea-world.com seems to link to many commercial resources. I found google.com to be a good source ("japan and fishing industry" was my search) ... stuff like Japan's Distant Water Tuna Fisheries (perhaps we found that one before?)
Anyhow, YOUR task is making a sensible summary guide from what may be too much stuff.
