{"id":105,"date":"2005-10-24T15:55:41","date_gmt":"2005-10-24T15:55:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/oook.info\/blog\/?p=105"},"modified":"2005-10-24T15:55:41","modified_gmt":"2005-10-24T15:55:41","slug":"nelsons-transquoter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oook.info\/blog\/?p=105","title":{"rendered":"Nelson&#8217;s Transquoter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bryant Adams sent me a pointer to <a href=\"http:\/\/it.slashdot.org\/it\/05\/10\/24\/1054214.shtml?tid=230&#038;tid=218\">a Slashdot article<\/a> on Ted Nelson&#8217;s <b>Transquoter<\/b> and I&#8217;ve been playing with its possibilities, via the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.xanadu.com.au\/transquoter\/\">skeletal directions<\/a> available (download the .exe, edit .edl file, double-click .edl and specify that <i>transquoter.exe<\/i> is the program to use&#8230;), but just how to aim it at the desired place in a file is less than completely obvious (how do you count the characters, and the spans, except [ugh!] manually).<\/p>\n<p>\nIt hasn&#8217;t yet occurred to me just what I&#8217;d want to DO with this, but that&#8217;s probably because I&#8217;m not really paying attention&#8230; I hope for revelation.
