http://www.radioopensource.org/after-the-empire-must-reading-from-parag-khanna/ I've been corresponding with a friend from Peace Corps days (Sarawak, 1965-1967), and exhuming an array of bones that still offer the possibility of further chewing. Some of those bones have to do with the place (what's happened to Sarawak in the last 40 years, what the things we saw and heard were really all about), some with evolution of our understanding of what we were doing (and did) there, some with wider issues of development and progress, and some with the metastuff of careers, trajectories, grokkage both general and specific.
