? A SCRABBLE record, 200-tile game? It scores 5401 points in 54 turns

A theoretical two-bag SCRABBLE game was constructed, joining two tile bags as one large bag. The tile draws from the large bag were controlled by the game architect, as were the plays. Only 176 tiles reached the board. The raw score was penalized for the value of two racks of unplayed tiles. Ten tiles remaining in the bag did not add a further penalty. The game architect selected which tiles remained on the racks, and in the bag.

The raw score was 5416, minus 15 points on the racks, to yield 5401 as final score.

Words in this solution are taken from OWL2, and the NASPA-SANCTIONED LONG LIST.
