Using RapidFiler on networked Windows machines

Windows machines on campus networks often have a utility called RapidFiler (the icon is a little man riding what looks like a unicycle; sometimes labelled 'FTP' or 'FTPAccess') which performs file transfer protocol (FTP) operations by drag-and-drop.

To start RapidFiler, double-click on the icon. You'll see a form asking for

Click OPEN or hit <Enter> to open the connection.

A two-part window will open. The upper part defaults to your machine's C:\windows subdirectory, and the lower to your Liberty home directory. You can move (actually it's copying) a file from one to the other by clicking on its icon, holding down the mouse button while you drag the icon to the other window, and the releasing the mouse button.

You can exit from RapidFiler by choosing Exit from the File menu.
