From late December 2017 through February 2018 we visited Drift Inn beach and the shallow ponds by its parking lot whenever it seemed likely that there would be ice to photograph. We were rarely disappointed in the material available in this half acre of ephemeral water, and often dumb-struck by the kaleidoscopic changes from day to day. My harvest is collected in a Blurb book and a Flickr album:
Gone Tomorrow
(pdf, right-click to download)
and
a Flickr album of about 800 ice photographs
and
Broot's Winter Crystals Flickr Album
"...these 70 photographs portray ice, frost, and snow as found close to my home in rural midcoast Maine..."
