My sand images are visual conundrums,
provoking different readings of the intertidal canvas,
in search of arresting forms and archetypal shapes,
and launching fanciful narratives.

I commissioned my dear friends Daniel Heïkalo and Tamara Thiebaux-Heikalo
"to make magical renderings of two of the sand photographs, revealing the dramas that they discerned."
