I first saw this scene as a long-legged antelope
or possibly alpaca, its head turned to look directly at the viewer,
and sharing the stage with a 1940s torch singer, perhaps with a cascade of golden hair...
Expect Humphrey Bogart to enter, stage left (to show his good side)
and crack wise...
And then I looked again and it was a giant, peering through some undergrowth, which includes a shrieking dryad in the foreground.
