The gift of the Complete Works of Oscar Wilde started a flurry of Oscaring last spring,
and that surely fed into my reading of this image.

Lady Windermere's Fan, obviously.

The fan, in the upper left corner, is the punctum (as it is in the play)
or just maybe it's a MacGuffin.
Whatever.

The fan is being wielded or deployed by
a woman with a very large hat, a drifting veil,
possibly a fox fur bulging around her shoulders, and expensively dressed.
Camera angle perhaps up from the knee...

Oh dear...
